Love’s lottery winner

For what labour

am I so rewarded

She holds my hands

And says she loves me

We dance

I am hypnotized

By ancient movements in her hips

They move

To the African beat

She is like a drug in my veins

Why have I been blessed

So freely with love                                                                                                           

A love that strengthens

A love that ignites

My heart is a wild train

Each cell of my being is alive

She smiles at me

And gives her soul to me

I take it all in

Will cherish it forever
