LOVE POEM #14. Onome

Onome (My Own)

I dey in love With Onome

Mai own special sweat heart

I hold im hand for moonlight

She no gree make I go

Anything wey happun to mi

Na Onome I dey tell

When she look mi with her big eyes

Mai power melt laik ice

I dream of am for nait

I think of am for morning

I see Mama dey come

I forget come say, ‘Onome Migwo’

If I waka for main road

Anything Onome laik I dey buy

Na Onome laff I wan hear

Na Onome smile I wan see

I go give Onome belle

Na seven belle she go get

I pray make all na woman

And I go name dem all Onome

  1. Now this speaks volume… flows effortless and touching. Forget you, even me I’m ALMOST in love with Onome.
    Bottom line, connecting. Cudos!
